Customers in the U.S. are invited to enjoy a free pastry with the purchase of any brewed or handcrafted beverage

WHAT: Starbucks raised the bar on the quality of food in stores across the U.S. just last year by simplifying its recipes, and removing artificial flavors, dyes and High-fructose corn syrup. Once again we are surprising our customers with a limited-time online offer to receive a free pastry with the purchase of any brewed or handcrafted beverage until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23. Customers can visit their local participating Starbucks and present a hard copy of the offer or show it to their barista on a handheld PDA device to receive their favorite breakfast pastry.

Pastries included in offer are: croissants, muffins, bagels, breads, pound cakes, scones, rolls, doughnuts, coffee cakes, morning bun, and cheese Danish.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 — From opening to 10:30 AM (local time) – or until supplies last.

WHERE: Customers can find the offer at www.Starbucks.com/FreePastryDay and at www.Facebook.com/Starbucks and www.Twitter.com/Starbucks.

This offer is available in all U.S. company-operated and participating licensed Starbucks stores. The offer is not valid in Starbucks stores located in Hawaii (except Oahu) or at Barnes & Noble cafes.
